Our journey goes all the way back to 2023 when Maya, Katie, and Rohin were still freshman. The three first met through their local climbing gym’s youth team program and bonded over their passion for the sport. The idea of a climbing club had been floating around, but it wasn’t until they met two seniors, Caleb and Riley, that they finally took action. Seeing other Mission San Jose Students at The Peak, their local climbing gym, really provided perspective on how fast the sport was growing. After months of searching for an advisor, filing paperwork, and presenting at council, the club was finally passed on May 17th, 2023!! Over the past two years, the club has grown to 9 officers and taken over 70 kids rock climbing at The Peak.
